Needless to say, it was a fun and exciting experience to catch up with them, and amid this adventure, Sophia had the opportunity to join a trail race. DB 311: How I Led My Family Through the World’s Largest Maze
08:17 | Episode: 311 | July 11th, 2022

DB 307: Kechi Okwuchi, America’s Got Talent Finalist, On Why Big Dreamers Must Know Thyself (Rebroadcast)
27:23 | Episode: 307 | June 13th, 2022

Kechi Okwuchi is a singer and motivational speaker. She was one of the two survivors in the Sosoliso Airlines Flight 1145 crash on December 10, 2005 that claimed 107 lives, 60 of which were her schoolmates. Kechi spent the next seven months in the hospital with a majority of that time in intensive care and has endured more than 100 surgeries. She credits her faith, family, friends, and singing for keeping her going. She eventually moved to America in 2007 for reconstructive surgery and later enrolled in the University of St. Thomas where she graduated summa cum laude in 2015. We first learned about Kechi’s story when she auditioned on America’s Got Talent in 2017 as a singer, and finished the competition as a finalist. She later participated in America’s Got Talent: The Champions in 2019, where Simon Cowell gave her the golden buzzer, sending her straight to the final. We fell in love with Kechi’s talent and story, and were thrilled when she agreed to be a guest on the podcast. It’s one of our favorite interviews ever, so we decided to rebroadcast it since it’s been over 3 years since it was first published. For our show notes, visit DreamBigPodcast.com/307

DB 288: You Don’t Need A Reason To Be Happy!

Have you ever met someone who has far less than you in terms of material wealth but is way, way happier? These people are living proof that you don’t need money to buy happiness. In fact, as Eva explains in today’s episode, you don’t need any reason to be happy. You can just decide to be happy. Eva shares two examples of people who have far “less” than our family — yet are making the decision to be happy. These people have inspired us to proactively work in 2022 on making the decision to be happy more often, and we know that they will inspire you as well!

DB 249: You Can Learn Anything. Here’s Proof!
07:00 | Episode: 249 | April 26th, 2021

This week’s episode is inspired by Lisa Bilyeu, and specifically her journey from being a traditional housewife to the cofounder of a billion dollar company. For over 8 years, Lisa played the role of a traditional stay-at-home wife to her husband Tom. This was actually a one-year plan at the start, as she was supporting Tom’s effort to build a film business. But eventually Tom pivoted and launched Quest Nutrition, and asked Lisa if she would help fulfill orders of the company’s protein bars from their living room floor. Lisa stepped up to help, and ended up doing far more than stuffing boxes from their house! Quest Nutrition grew 57,000% in 3 years time, earning a billion-dollar valuation and ranking as the #2 fastest growing company in North America by Inc. Magazine in 2014. So how did Lisa go from a stay-at-home wife with absolutely no experience in shipping or logistics to leading a huge team and managing tens of millions of dollars in inventory? Lisa recently shared her secret to learning anything, and today Eva is sharing Lisa’s secret with all the Big Dreamers 🙂 For our show notes, visit DreamBigPodcast.com/249
