She is a children’s author with two very important storybooks. One about a child dealing with bereavement and another about a child with a grandmother suffering with Alzheimer’s Disease.
In this edition of Eddie’s Launchpads we feature ‘Monster Phonics’. A DfE approved Phonics. This resource uses grapheme-phoneme correspondence as the first and foremost approach. Teaching is supported by using colour and monster sound cues to make the grapheme-phoneme correspondence explicit and easier to learn.

Captain Dave and Eddie meet Lee Crockett from Premier Education UK. Lee and his team of sports coaches come to Dogsthorpe Infant School to lead our P.E. sessions. These sessions, being part of the school curriculum, dovetail in with the learning taking place in each classroom, in all year groups, all year round. Lee also shares details of his holiday clubs during half-term and end of term holidays.
Captain Dave and Eddie use their LaunchPad to bring you an audio version of the Dogsthorpe Infant School Newsletter dated 20th May 2022 and then they feature ‘Star Lincs’. This is the giant inflatable planetarium that teaches our children about the planets, the stars and the men and women who have travelled in rockets into Space.
