In this episode of the Football for Kids Podcast, I take a look at the career so far of Manchester United’s Alejandro Garnacho. Born in Madrid to an Argentine mother and Spanish father, Garnacho was always likely to be influenced by both footballing cultures.
I go back to his early days at Getafe and Atlético Madrid, and follow his move to Manchester United’s youth academy. A standout goal in the FA Youth Cup caught attention, and not long after, he made his senior debut at just 17 years old.
I also talk through some of Garnacho’s big moments, including a memorable bicycle kick against Everton, and the role he’s played under manager Erik ten Hag. With over 100 appearances already, he’s made a strong start to his career.
There’s more to come from Garnacho, but here’s where it all began.
