Story: The Day It Rained Beach Balls
It started as an ordinary sunny day at Seaside Park—umbrellas swayed, kids built sandcastles, and lifeguards twirled their whistles. Then, out of nowhere, a dark cloud rolled in. Everyone braced for rain. But instead of raindrops, the sky opened up and… BEACH BALLS came bouncing down!
BOING! BONK! BOOM! Red, blue, striped, and polka-dotted balls fell from the sky, bouncing off umbrellas and rolling across the sand. At first, the beach erupted in chaos. “Incoming!” shouted Sammy the seal pup as a giant rainbow ball bounced him into the surf. A crab scuttled into a cooler, using a soda can as a helmet. Even the ice cream man got bonked, leaving sprinkles everywhere.
But then, a little girl named Mia picked up a beach ball and laughed. “This isn’t scary—it’s FUN!” She kicked it into the air, and soon the whole beach joined in. Penguins played volleyball with the giant ones, kids built a pyramid of bouncing balls, and the seagulls used the tiniest ones for a game of soccer mid-flight.
The mayor arrived, umbrella in hand, only to get knocked gently into the sand by a polka-dotted ball. He stood up, brushed off his suit, and declared: “By official decree, today shall forever be known as Beach Ball Day!”
The strange cloud eventually floated away, but it left behind a few bouncing balls that never deflated—just to remind everyone of the silliest, happiest storm Seaside Park ever had.
