Along the way, Little Dazzy Donuts shares some best practices for enjoying the beach, and reads three beach poems on Crabby the crab, a day at the seaside for mice, and getting sand in your sandals.
Join us for this bonus episode as Queenie and Little Dazzy Donuts plan a home warming party for Chicken as she moves into the home they built behind the Club. While Little Dazzy Donuts occupies Chicken with some poems, Queenie is getting everything ready for the party, including keeping the sheep away from the lettuces! Along the way, we hear five poets reading their entries into the Summer competition on the topic of Home: Amber, Ayush, Alfie, Natasha, and Maisie.
After several months without seeing her friends, Queenie decides the time is right to invite a few of them around for an outside soiree and to chat about how they can work together to build a fairer world for all. Along the way, she calls Sammy Showers, and hears handy baking tips from Chef Katie Currant. There are also three poems on the topic of being together. Everything is planned and ready… but will anybody turn up?
This week, Queenie is battling her allergies while she and Chicken install solar panels on Chicken’s new home and also plant a hedge around the garden. She is also able to use some of Little Dazzy Donuts’ old clothes to dress the scarecrow. Along the way, we hear poems about somebody’s mighty sneezes, allergy analogies, and an unexpected allergy.

With Chicken driving a truck and operating the crane, and Queenie in charge of the hammer and drill, there's no doubting that nothing is really safe, especially the lettuces they have planted out there. Fortunately, five poets are on hand to read their entries into the Summer competition on the topic of Home: Willow, Ava, Clarissa, Jack, and Charlee.
This week, we have fun with homophones and acrostic poems. Queenie and Chicken are playing a game of "Bear or Bare?" Rhyming Rita helps out with a riddle poem, and there are acrostic poems read out by three poets (Abby, Grace, and Sarah). Along the way, we also hear poems about the letter X, punctuation, and bare bears!
This week, Queenie and Chicken are taking a drawing class from Bill Ding to learn how to draw people in readiness for creating their entries for the Summer poetry and art competition. Somehow, Little Dazzy Donuts ends up on a bucket, and Queenie "suffers for her art". Along the way, we hear poems about making a stand, getting your posture right, and the surprise of finding that you have four arms.
Join us for this bonus episode, complete with legal drama, as the Summer competition topic is decided in Judge Chicken’s court. Lawyer Queenie seems prepared, but much may depend on whether she has her legal briefs on the right way around. Fortunately, she can call five poet witnesses to support her case, all reading their own poems: Grace, Naomi, Julia, Eva, and Ben. What will the Honorable Judge Chicken decide?
