✪ First Up, Time To Move – Dance Robot Dance. Pretend you are a robot that has two settings. Setting 1: when you hear music you do your best robot dance. Setting 2: When the music stops you shape your body like the thing that I say. i.e. grapes. This is a fun creative movement game that promotes body awareness, smiles and dancing to a song about robots.
✪ Counting the silence. Kids love counting. Grown-ups love silence. This game has something for everyone!
✪ All you have to do during a Story Song is sit back and enjoy the song. This song is about feeling grateful for all the people big and small who have helped their communities get through this past year, and especially everyone involved in the vaccine roll-out from the scientists to the people who rolled up their sleeves to stop Covid’s spread. You can hear this song wherever music streamed including Spotify: https://open.spotify.com/album/2FIyQU8vHnG2dPXPpOx5e7?si=N26FtAfoTgCBFtgRDkJJGQ
✪ This episode’s Echo Song is provided by the wonderful musician and music educator Tracy Bonham & Melodeon Music House. The song is called Let’s Take The Subway. It’s a fun children’s song for learning about letters, pitch matching, song form and that famous New York City rat race. You can find it on her new album Young Maestro’s Vol. 1: https://open.spotify.com/album/0Kn0cPtHeY3cMYIv626LTH?si=pA-xbY3ZRGO6ZbaEQqSpRw
We hope you enjoy our music and games for preschoolers, kindergarteners and early elementary age kids! It’s like a music lesson for kids you can listen to during your daily public transit commute.
