Decisions, decisions! Why is it so difficult to make a choice sometimes? In this relaxation story we explore the feeling of indecision and talk about ways to make the decision-making process easier for kids as we do gentle breathing and movement exercises.
A relaxation story for children ages 5 – 12
Questions:
What is a big decision that you had to make recently? How did you come to that decision? If you’re having trouble making a decision, can you think of at least one grown up that you trust that can help you narrow down your choices and work it out? What is a decision that you are facing now? Do you know what you’re going to do? If you’re not sure, can one of the tips we talked about today help? (narrow choices to two, thinking about why you want to do this, thinking about the consequences of the two choices).
