Thanks for being part of soundcarrot.com
SoundCarrot is a kids' audio discovery platform. It's not commercially run, and was built by a father and his two children, we help families find great shows, save favourites, and keep track of what their children listen to.
We are not a hosting provider, a podcast network, or a competitor to your own website or app. We're just another Podcast Directory in the open podcast ecosystem, curated specifically for children, and aim to make it easier for parents and kids to discover and enjoy your work.
Your show is listed because it has a public RSS feed and is suitable for children and families. We read standard podcast metadata (title, description, artwork, episodes, and basic tags) and present it in a kid-friendly way.
We curate the content, so when we added you we'll have given a guide age group, set topics, and applied some extra useful information for parents. We then present this your show pages. If anything looks wrong or out of date, you can ask us to fix it or remove it.
Episodes on SoundCarrot are streamed directly from the MP3 URLs in your RSS feed. We do not download, store, re-host, or redistribute your audio files. If the audio URL is updated, SoundCarrot will reflect that upon the next timed update of our Library (usually daily).
We do not modify your audio in any way. Any ads, sponsorship messages, or baked-in promotions you include remain exactly as they are. We do not remove, replace, or insert ads into your episodes.
Our features are consistent with most podcast directories. Through us, parents and kids can:
Save favourite shows, pick up the next episode where they left off, and see everything they've listened to in one place. They can also filter shows by age, theme, and format. If we've done our job right, your show should be more likely to be discovered by the right families.
If a family uses a Yoto player, they can send episodes from your show to their device in one click. We use Yoto's API for this, and add episodes as a 'stream'. When the episode it played, Yoto fetches the audio from the your feed URL. This makes it easier for your stories to become part of their daily routine.
Being listed on SoundCarrot can help increase your visibility with families looking specifically for kids' audio. Your show is placed in age-appropriate browsing, and surfaced in themed collections (stories, science, mindfulness, etc.).
As we grow, we plan to add more tools for producers, including better discovery, optional profiles, and insights into how families are finding and using your show.
If you update your RSS feed (artwork, title, description), we will pick up those changes automatically over time. If you need something corrected faster, or want to adjust how your show is labelled for age or themes, you can contact us and we'll make whatever change is needed.
If you prefer not to be listed on SoundCarrot, you can ask us to remove your show and we will do so. We'll be sad to see you go, but we'll understand.
If you have questions, corrections, or ideas for how we can better support your show, we'd love to hear from you. Please drop us a line at and we'll get back to you.
P.S. - to M and T, this is for you 🙂
