Ep 43 SONG - A Summer Song - "Wild Mountain Thyme"

Episode 43 is a song! It is a welcome to summer song because today, my friends, summer officially begins here in the United States.

This is also the beginning of Season 5 of the April Eight Songs & Stories Podcast. I've been making this podcast for 2 years now, and I'm so glad that I started it. I love my listeners so much and I have new stories coming your way in the month of July. The next one has Jemi in it! But now, down to business. We've got a song to sing. This one is an old favorite of mine, it is called Wild Mountain Thyme by Francis McPeake. It is an old Scottish song, and I like that because I've got some Scottish in me. I love to sing this with my children and I can't wait to sing it with you. Here is how the chorus goes.

Now, do you know what a Lassie is? THat's just another way that Scottish people say "girl". If you'd rather sing it to a boy, you can say, Laddie, if you want. Whatever works for you works for me.
