Atlas Linguae Season 3 is all about the language of culture online, and for our first episode we talk to Maya Murillo (@mayainthemoment ), who truly embodies the joys and challenges of exploring your identity on the internet. Originally from Phoenix and based in Los Angeles, Maya is an actor, musician, and content creator who worked for several years as a producer at Buzzfeed’s “Pero Like” channel. Maya shares her journey as she became more comfortable documenting her life and struggles on video, and explains why speaking Spanglish and being a “pocha” is a key part of her identity.
