Aloha, Culture Kids! Pack your imaginary passports because we’re heading back to the beautiful island of Oahu, Hawaii! Join us as we meet Ms. Kaila, the Cultural Education Coordinator at Waimea Valley, to uncover the magic of Hawaiian culture, nature, and traditions.
Walk along the lush trails to discover unique plants and animals, like the amazing Oʻopu fish that can climb waterfalls! Learn about the Hawaiian saying, “Not all knowledge is taught in one house,” and explore how the islands’ diverse environments influence traditions and beliefs.
This adventure also includes a splash-worthy visit to a breathtaking waterfall, complete with swimming, laughter, and the search for camouflaged goby fish. Plus, hear about Waimea Valley’s school programs, artisans, and how families can learn Hawaiian values like Ho‘okipa (hospitality).
