Discover the incredible story of Neymar Jr at the FIFA World Cup. 🇧🇷⚽
In Part 1 of this special Football For Kids episode, we travel to Brazil for the unforgettable 2014 World Cup.
Neymar was only 22 years old, but the hopes of an entire football-mad nation were resting on his shoulders. He scored twice against Croatia, added two more goals against Cameroon and held his nerve during a dramatic penalty shootout victory over Chile.
Then, in Brazil’s quarter-final against Colombia, everything changed. Neymar suffered a serious back injury which ended his tournament and forced him to watch from the sidelines as Germany defeated Brazil 7–1 in one of the most astonishing matches in World Cup history.
But Neymar’s story did not finish there. Two years later, he returned to the Maracanã Stadium for an emotional rematch with Germany and the chance to create a golden new memory. 🇧🇷🏆✨
