Listen to episode one hereNathan is feeling frustrated with a friend who keeps telling exaggerated stories, and it is starting to make it hard to know what is real. That night, Peanut Butter Jim takes him back out to sea aboard the Wooden Parrot, where a new adventure is waiting.
When they arrive, they meet the shipβs new captain, Gruffin Shortbeak, a laid-back and slightly reckless puffin who loves spinning over-the-top stories about his βbraveβ accomplishments that seem to grow bigger every time he tells them.
In this stories for kids podcast episode, Nathan and PB Jim sail with the crew as Captain Gruffin fills the air with wild and unbelievable tales. At first it is exciting, but soon the crew begins to feel confused and unsure what to believe. But just as things feel uncertain, a real danger appears β a giant sea creature called a pollywogger rises from the water and rocks the ship.
As the waves crash and the ship is thrown into chaos, the crew must stay focused and work together to get back on course. Watching it all unfold, Nathan realizes that while imagination can be fun, trust and honesty are what truly help everyone feel safe and steady.
