In Cat City Ch. 3 Tucker is talking with his parents about the mess they are in now that Susan is there. Tucker keeps trying to say it was not Susan’s fault it was because of the bite she got but his mom just thinks they are excuses. Councillor Khai comes to the house and says he’s not sure he can protect Susan but promises to try and protect Tucker and his GateKeeper status. Cynthia, Tucker’s mother, wonders when the council will be meeting but no-one seems to know. Tucker and Khai go for a walk toward the centre of the city and talk about what Khai’s plans are for Tucker.
