We open with a recap, a reminder of where everyone is at this moment in the story, and a rousing speech from President Bernie Sandals about the call to love our world in uncertain times. Thank you to author Joanna Macy for inspiring the talk that inspired the addition of this speech into our story. Our conversation was a response to Hank’s growing awareness of ecosystems and climate change. Thank you to his wonderful 2nd-grade teacher, Mme. Kate, for raising awareness through creativity for Hank and his peers! We discuss the words ‘ecosystem” and “phenomenon” in scientific and contextual meaning in this episode as well!

Bonus | Three Turkey Songs from Granny

Hank’s Granny, aka Jeanie Murphy, recorded three fun old-time turkey songs with her banjo for us, and we thought they were too great to keep to ourselves–especially in a season of giving! Hank had a lot of fun singing this particular Turkey Lurkey song with his fantastic music teacher at school, so he rang his Granny when he got home and they sang it together. We feel so fortunate to have a musical Granny, and Hank has been musical since before he was born. The two of them have been noodling on songs together since he was knee-high to a penny whistle!
