Netflix has bought the rights to all of Roald Dahl's works. Netflix already has a series based on Charlie and the chocolate factory in the works. In addition, the company plans to release animated and live action movies or series on atleast 16 of his works. Evergrande, a Chinese company that builds and sells properties is having trouble paying off its loans. Failure of Evergrande can affect the banks it borrowed money from, the people who paid a deposit to get their homes built – who may get neither home nor their money back. Everyone is waiting and watching if Evergrande will fail, and if so, would the Chinese government step in and bail it out.
In sports news, home teams often are said to have an advantage thanks to the cheering crowds that can egg them on to perform better. A research team in the University of Austria has looked into the data of teams playing in ghost stadiums during the pandemic to test this. They found the claim of home team victory true. But also, disturbingly, they found that it affected the ability of the referees in calling out fouls. Referees may also be biased towards the home teams, in the presence of a cheering crowd.
