Little Troll refuses to take a bath no matter what Papa Troll tries, even though his smell is so terrible that flowers grow between his toes and forest animals faint. After many failed bribes and silly songs, Papa Troll gently asks what scares him and learns that the big pond makes Little Troll feel like he’ll be swallowed up. When Papa Troll suggests washing under a waterfall instead, Little Troll happily sings the scrubby song and discovers that while he won’t take a bath, he will take a shower.
