Mothman
00:41:52 | Season: 4 | Episode: 16 | October 26th, 2022

Donald and Lydia moved into their first home together a little outside of Point Pleasant, Virginia when Lydia started noticing strange occurrences— like the two skinny things, casting shadows in the light that streams under the front door.  Shadows that look for all the world like what someone’s legs would cast, if they were standing, just outside. But there couldn’t be anyone out there, right? If there were, they would have moved by now. No one stands so still for so long, without shifting at all. So…if it isn’t a person…what is it?

The Library Phantom
00:23:20 | Season: 1 | Episode: 5 | October 20th, 2022

Around the campfire, Eli ropes the kids into a game of “two truths and a lie.” While they ponder over the answers, Eli tells another one of his terrifying stories. He’s fully convinced that he’s got the kids stumped – that is, until they quickly figure him out.  The day Gianna returns an overdue book to the library, she hears the legend of the “Library Phantom,” who is said to stalk those who ignore due dates. Gianna dismisses it as just a story, but before the night is over, she realizes that some stories are more than just fiction…some are warnings.

Episode 40: Artificial Intelligence
00:21:41 | Episode: 45 | October 19th, 2022

Many of us have smart devices in our homes. Siri, Alexa, robot vacuums, and more have become a part of our daily lives. They learn our tastes and preferences, our routines… but what if that wasn’t where the learning stopped? What would happen if these devices could learn just like humans, replicate our behaviors, and maybe, just maybe, become smarter than us? We’ll discuss that and more as we tackle all things artificial intelligence on this episode of Unspookable.    Host: Elise Parisian Written by: Ellenor Riley-Condit  Created, Produced, Edited by: Nate DuFort Music Direction and Composition: Jesse Case: https://www.jessecasemusic.com/ Logo by: Natalie Khuen http://nataliek.myportfolio.com Special thanks this week to: Blythe, Bella, and Al  Episode artwork by: graphicsm_  https://www.instagram.com/graphicsm_ You can find Unspookable on Twitter and Instagram at:https://twitter.com/ImUnspookablehttps://www.instagram.com/unspookablepodcast/ Unspookable is a production of Soundsington Media committed to making quality programing for young audiences and the young at heart. Gumberoo
00:33:55 | Season: 4 | Episode: 14 | October 19th, 2022

Up in the Cascade Mountains of the Pacific Northwest, you can smell a Gumberoo before you hear it– a smell just like woodsmoke: faint at first, then thicker and thicker, like a campfire gone wild. If you’re smart you’ll get out of the woods right then– because Gumberoos can move fast. And if you gamble, and stick around, and the wind picks up and the Gumberoos came charging into the valley you’re in…well, there’s a reason that not many folks alive have heard the roar of a Gumberoo.

The Boy Who Cried Wolf
00:18:00 | Season: 1 | Episode: 4 | October 13th, 2022

While on a walk, Eli finds footprints that he believes belong to Bigfoot. He convinces the kids to join his search for the creature with the promise of a new, terrifying story.

Lizard Man
00:30:28 | Season: 4 | Episode: 15 | October 12th, 2022

Something feels off about this raining night in South Carolina. You can’t put your finger on it. Driving through the intersection, you catch something in the rearview mirror. Something bathed in the red of your brake lights, something moving fast, close behind your car. You don’t get a good look at it, but…whatever it is, you decide you don’t like this. Whatever it is…you’re all alone out here.

Episode 39: The Montauk Project and the Inspiration for Netflix’s Stranger Things
00:23:54 | Episode: 44 | October 11th, 2022

Have you heard of the Netflix series Stranger Things? If so, have you ever thought about the experiments that happened at Hawkins National Laboratory and what purpose they served? Government experiments have always been the source of conspiracy theories, from the Philadelphia Experiment and MK-Ultra to the Montauk Project and beyond. We’re separating fact from fiction and diving deep into experiments of the mind on this episode of Unspookable.
