The first time ever an Indian won the international booker this year and Barbie dolls are not just pretty faces anymore.
Steven Spielberg did not show dinosaurs with feathers in the first iconic Jurassic Park movie. Not his fault. Few paleontologists knew that all dinosaurs had feathers. But it was not until this year's Jurassic World Dominion did movies incorporate this piece of science.
K-Pop, arguably the most popular form of pop in the world, saw its biggest band BTS take a break. They still loved singing and dancing. But, they also have to hop into a military compound and serve their mandatory 18 months in S.Korea. But they are expected to be back in 2025.
Gitanjali Shree became the first Indian to win an international booker prize for her work in Hindi 'Ret Samadhi' which was translated as 'Tomb of Sand'. Proud moment for an Indian.
Barbie decided to make a point by making dolls who also have a personality. Dolls like famous aviators such as Amelia Earhart, scientists and even fashion icons like Ashley Graham. Girls can now play, dream and live the lives of women who define new careers and purposes for their lives.
