There are 1745 episodes in the Nature topic.

These are the latest episodes from the Nature topic added to soundcarrot, but be careful, many of these are serialised shows so jumping in at episode 10, for example, could confuse matters.

We'd recommend starting with the first episode of your show of choice, and if you like it, listening from there.

S2, Ep. 10 – The Hissstory of Sharing
00:27:19 | Season: 2 | Episode: 10 | June 7th, 2021

Welcome to the tenth episode of Ask Deer Abby, Season Two! Abby and Hopper are thrilled to be offering advice (and puns) to some brand new animal friends. First up, we’ve got a Praying Mantis named Mannie who’s feeling a little guilty after lying to his fellow Boy Scouts about having “supernatural powers.” Hopefully Abby can teach Mannie that honesty really is the best policy, while also enlightening him about his true “powers,” which may not be supernatural, but are still pretty cool. Next up, we’ve got not one, but two callers on the line when a two-headed snake, Janice and Jessica, comes to Abby for some sibling advice. Let’s hope that Abby can bring this unlikely duo closer together by showing them that sharing is caring. Later on, we’ll bring in an animal expert to answer the question on everyone’s mind: Can cockroaches really survive anything?! Thanks again for listening, and as always, if you’ve got a problem just stop on by, and we’ll say “Hi” at Ask Deer Abby!

70 – Blue sky. Empty beach. Low tide.
36:44 | Episode: 70 | June 5th, 2021

It’s past midday on a late May day in Suffolk and the sun is pouring down onto a calm sea. It’s shining, for the first time this year, with that summer strength that makes you stop, to really take in the moment. It’s perfect, here at the shoreline, not far from where the River Deben joins the sea, the beaches a mix of shingle and soft sand.

Join Ellen & special guest entomologist Charles Wallace for a review of nature’s oft-maligned rogues, cockroaches! In this episode, we bust myths about the roaches that cozy up to human spaces, learn about some of the fascinating strategies that different types of roaches all over the world use to thrive, and give these hardy insects some long overdue praise.

Yipping Sugar Gliders
07:53 | May 31st, 2021

It’s the late afternoon and Ann is walking through a forest of eucalypts after having a picnic with her friends. Ann’s heading back to the carpark when suddenly there is a high-pitched ‘yip’ sound somewhere above! What was that… WOW a little animal flies from one tree to the next.. It’s a sugar glider!

S2, Ep. 9 – Busy Bees and Ant Employees
00:27:19 | Season: 2 | Episode: 9 | May 31st, 2021

Welcome to the ninth episode of Ask Deer Abby, Season Two! Abby and Hopper are thrilled to be offering advice (and puns) to some brand new animal friends. First up, we’ve got Antoni the Ant who’s graduating from high school soon and feeling a lot of pressure to choose a career! Let’s hope Abby can help this imaginative insect find the thing that sparks his joy. Next, we’ve got a bee named Bee-atrice who’s in a bit of a messy situation with her mother over a failing grade at school. Hopefully Abby can help Bee-atrice turn this buzzkill of a science project into a bee-utiful success. Later on, we’ll bring in some animal experts to answer the question on everyone’s mind: What animal is the best at math?! Thanks again for listening, and as always, if you’ve got a problem just stop on by, and we’ll say “Hi” at Ask Deer Abby!

Ep 39: Intersections of Animals at Humanity
00:50:16 | Season: 1 | Episode: 39 | May 31st, 2021

Time beside a stream in the Welsh hills
51:00 | Episode: 69 | May 29th, 2021

A fair April day has dawned up in the hills above the village of Kerry. Nothing’s come or gone yet along the road beside the stream. Nature’s curfew means its dew tinted tarmac must stay empty for a little while longer, to let the stream have its say and give the scattered strands of meadow grass a chance to be blown back into the hedgerows. Silently and invisibly to the ear, the road waits, winding down into the valley through woods and open fields, almost all of the way. Intertwined and accompanied by the music of the stream.
