Aisholpan’s father was one of the best eagle hunters, so she asked him to teach her everything he knew. Despite the danger, she caught and trained her own eagle in the icy Altai mountains. She became the first woman to enter the Golden Eagle competition—and win!—inspiring female eagle hunters for years to come.
